READER SERVICES AND BOOK DEPOSITORY

      The Reader Services and Book Depository Department in the central building of "Ivan Vazov" National Library serves readers above 14 years of age. It provides the lending of a variety of literature and non-print materials in all fields of knowledge and fiction. There are 7 reading rooms with a total of 200 seats, located on the second floor.

    There is an Interlibrary Loan Service providing non-available at IVNL materials from other libraries in the country and abroad (1st floor, Room No. 25). Reader registration is carried out all the year round according to our Reader Service Rules. The latter regulate reader rights and obligations.
     Library, bibliographic and information reader services are provided in all service sections. The reading rooms provide access to all databases maintained in the local automated library and bibliographic network, as well as to Internet
    Forty-four highly qualified library specialists work in the department and provide a 12-hour service to readers, six days a week plus an 8-hour service on Sundays.
    Various exhibitions are held all the year round in the library, initiated by the artistic intelligentsia in the town and occasioned by anniversaries, events and memorable days; many of them make use of the library's rich collections.
