Publishing has always been part of the Library's activities throughout the years. Reader oriented published materials are many-sided: bibliographic guides, systematic collections, fiction, small accidental forms, etc. An attainment for the Library are the regional study bibliographical publications with materials on the past and present of Plovdiv and the region. In 1973 we resumed publishing the Year-book that used to be published in the course of 40 years (1904-1941). It covers the achievements in coping with specific library problems. The survey of archival collections published in 1978 marked the beginning of a series of publications about the Special Collections stocks.
"Ivan Vazov" National Library carries into effect its publishing activities in its own printing office - relief printing, offset printing, bindery and photo laboratory. Computer typesetting, scanning and pre-press preparation are accomplished. Services to outside customers are paid for according to an approved price-list.
