Reference-bibliographic and information department

Reference-bibliographic and information department services the users in accordance with their information needs. Reference services are aimed at assisting users in finding relevant information according to their interests, research and training.

The services we offer are:
*Consulting for the availability of library documents, the ways of their application and use;
*Information search in traditional and electronic catalogs and databases and work with the CDS/ISIS information-search system;
*Through membership in the Bulgarian Information Consortium, we provide online access to remote databases of reputable information providers and a variety of preferences for the use of high-quality information products;
*Search the Internet;
*Written thematic reports on consumer-related criteria against payment. Requests are submitted to the department within the opening hours. Prices are listed in the Library Pricelist;
*Bibliographical consultations for bibliography, bibliographic citation, etc. Assistance to use the “Little Bibliographic Assistant” when needed;
*Virtual service for remote users. For the ways of using the service, see here.
*We do factual references on the phone;
*Provide help to improve information literacy for users – advice on by-your-self-search and use of the library reference book, electronic databases and online resources;
*Provide information services for the users at the Public Information Center;
*We maintain an archive of written thematic reports (see here) and provide them for a fee.
*We conduct educational and specialized tours in the library. They must be pre-registered by phone or in-place at the department. Tours are free of charge.
